HCFCU’s commitment to you as a member is strong as ever and we are here to help our members who are experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19.
Actions for Immediate Relief and Assistance
Haxtun Community FCU recognizes that members may face financial difficulties or loss of income due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We are committed to being responsive to the needs of our members as the situation evolves. In the true credit union spirit of people helping people, we will offer the following relief options to all members in need.
LOAN ASSISTANCE-All Loan Assistance Programs will be subject to Financial Counseling
30, 60, and 90-day extension on existing loans. Interest payment not required, but recommended to avoid negative amortization (Due to the unique structure of First Mortgage Loans, these loans are excluded from the extension offer, but may be available for other offers.)
First Mortgage Loan extension on existing loans. (Due to the unique structure of First Mortgage Loans, these loans will have to go through an underwriting review before processing this request.)
To qualify for these relief options, members must have experienced at least two weeks of lost work/wages resulting from COVID-19. Members must fill out extension agreements and/or skip-a-pay forms. Credit union reserves the right to verify member’s circumstances and determine member need.

Can only have one Emergency Hardship loan at a time
Value of a monthly paycheck up to $1000 minimum- $2500 maximum
Rate 5.99% regardless of credit tier
Term 6 month minimum-24 month maximum
DTI cannot exceed 50%
First payment in 90 days
Membership open for 12 months
Paycheck Hardship LoaN
Can only have one Emergency Hardship loan at a time
Value of a monthly paycheck up to $1000 minimum- $2500 maximum
Rate 4.99% regardless of credit tier
Member in good standing and not causing a loss to the credit union
No currently or past severe (over 60 days) delinquency with the credit union
Membership open for 12 months
Term 90 Days, One Payment Note
Term Hardship Loan (NEWMEMBER)
Can only have one Emergency Hardship loan at a time
Value of a monthly paycheck up to $1000 minimum- $2500 maximum
Rate 7.99% regardless of credit tier
Term 6 month minimum-24 month maximum
DTI cannot exceed 50%
Membership under the 12 months
OTHER SERVICES
Free budgetary/financial counseling to assist members in developing a plan
Advice on modifying a loan or restructuring debt

With the growing public health concerns about the Coronavirus outbreak, HCFCU wants to remind you that cyber criminals use major news events like this as an opportunity to increase their online scams, such as phishing attacks. Scammers may be using a number of ways to trick you into taking some type of action, such as:
*Phone calls or text messages that appear to come from legitimate organizations.
*Do not respond to requests for sensitive information by email or text. HCFCU will never ask you for sensitive information when calling you. We will ask you for questions to verify your identity. If you are uncomfortable at any time, please hang up and contact us directly at 970-774-7396.
*Emails about Coronavirus that include links or attachments for you to click on. Rather than clicking on links or attachments to retrieve information, navigate to a trusted organization’s website.
*Malicious websites that appear legitimate and offer information related to Coronavirus, but they’re intended to steal usernames, passwords and other sensitive information. Browse the internet safely.
*HCFCU will never ask for money upfront.
We will be monitoring debit card transactions for fraudulent charges and will be calling if we identify a suspicious transaction. ****We will never ask for your debit card number or your account number in order to confirm transactions.****
